Local Paddle Guide Adventure
On this tour, a local paddle guide joins us to lead the way through the scenic Marimbus wetlands, known as the "Mini Pantanal. We paddle for about two hours each way, followed by a 20-minute hike to natural pools and the refreshing Roncador Waterfall.
An overnight stay in a former gold miners' house is also possible, with the option to continue the adventure the next day.
Chapada Diamantina is home to one of the best coffee-growing regions in Brazil, known for its award-winning coffee. Visit a coffee farm, enjoy a tasting, and witness the entire production process.
Igatu, the stone mountain village, is a glimpse into the Diamond Age. A visit to the Arte Café, a diamond mine, and the Byzantine cemetery makes Igatu one of the most charming villages in Chapada Diamantina. It's an absolute must on any Chapada Diamantina tour. Igatu is also home to a beautiful waterfall, perfect for climbing in the labyrinth, and is simply a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
Located in the southern part of Chapada Diamantina National Park, the Fumacinha Waterfall is one of the most spectacular in the region. Only a few adventurers take on the challenging trek through narrow canyons, but those who do are rewarded with a breathtaking view: a waterfall over 100 meters high, surrounded by moss-covered rock walls and mystical nature. A true highlight for adventurous hikers!
We circle around the national park, stopping at several key locations. The round trip takes us through Lençóis, where we visit some local attractions, then on to the Vale do Capão to see the famous Fumaça Waterfall. From there, we head to Mucugê to visit the Sempre Viva Project, and then continue to Igatu, the historic stone village, where a diamond mine awaits us. And these are just a few of the highlights mentioned here. A full Chapada Diamantina tour should be planned for at least four days.
